Learning to "King It."

As we begin our sermon series on King David, we first must understand how King Saul forfeited his kingship because he did not trust God and was impatient. David gives us a counterexample of Saul's impatience as he is anointed King and then waits on the Lord to make him King.
During the time between David's anointing and his coronation, the shepherd boy from Bethlehem learns to "King it." What lessons should we learn from David's patience and Saul's lack of trust in God?
