Mark 10 Jesus predicts his death and our redemption

There are some who believe that Jesus' death as an act of ransom for our souls was an accident and not God's plan for salvation from the very start. In Mark 10 we see Jesus predict his own death and resurrection with crystal clear details. We also see the disciples missing the moment with Jesus and focusing on themselves. Jesus, the good teacher, brings it all back around and emphasizes how his death will be our redemption. The theological term for this is called the "Substitutionary theory of atonement". Where Jesus took our place and out punishment and we received his holiness.
